Providing animal care in Cheshire, Bollington Veterinary Centre has a clean and fresh design with sliding elements to catch your eye as you go through the site. Add in adorable pictures of animals and the professional writing, and you have a site that is designed with the customer in mind.<\/p>\n

We talked to Adam Bird of edenCreates<\/a>, the company that designed the Bollington Veterinary Centre website.<\/p>\n

What does edenCreates do and what did you do for Bollington Veterinary Centre?<\/em><\/p>\n

edenCreates designs and builds fully responsive websites. We develop all our websites using our in-house CMS, which has been written from the ground up and is deployed on all new brochure and e-commerce websites.<\/p>\n

Bollington Veterinary Centre is one of our longest-standing customers, and they approached us for a redesign that had to be fully responsive and drive new customers to their key pages. They also wanted the ability to add\/edit pages and images, which would be a massive plus from their existing static website.<\/p>\n

How does the site support and drive Bollington Veterinary Centre’s goals?<\/em><\/p>\n

Bollington Veterinary Centre provides high-quality veterinary medical and surgical care for domestic animals in a relaxed and pleasant environment. This was enhanced with big bold images and a clinical, but fresh, interface. The website is not complicated to use and has been designed for all demographics.<\/p>\n

Overall, the website is friendly and easy to use.<\/p>\n

What would you say the website’s personality is?<\/em><\/p>\n

Clean and professional with a clinical feel, but friendly and keeping with the existing branding. It has fresh imagery and it’s easy to navigate, much like the veterinary centre itself.<\/p>\n

When designing the website, did you design with the customer in mind, or did you have a fixed idea on how you wanted to portray the brand online?<\/em><\/p>\n

All the websites we design are taken from a tight brief from the client. In this case, we were asked to make the existing website a lot fresher while keeping all the existing content. So we changed the layout and freshened up the overall feel while keeping everything as it was.<\/p>\n

What is your favourite thing about the website?<\/em><\/p>\n

It’s difficult to highlight just one element, but I really like the impact of the images and the clinical but professional colour scheme.<\/p>\n

And since I designed the original, I think it’s OK to say that I like the overall drastic change from the original the most.<\/p>\n

What do you think makes the site different from its competitors?<\/em><\/p>\n

The full-width design and the variety of images and layouts. Using source-set images also helped us optimise the website speed and performance across multiple devices.<\/p>\n

Do you have any future plans for the website?<\/em><\/p>\n

It’s their site, so they have control over how it’s developed in the future, but I’ll maintain the site’s standard and make the changes and updates they like.<\/p>\n
