Sleek and sophisticated, the Mankind’s website exudes class. A mirror to their own credentials as a video production and design agency, the website taps into today’s design and communication trends, providing a high level of professionalism.<\/p>\n

The mobile-optimised site also encompasses excellent SEO and lightning-fast page loading times. We talked to Nathan Briggs, Digital Lead at Mankind, about their website and their business.<\/p>\n

What is Mankind and what do you do?<\/em><\/p>\n

We are a video production and design agency with a big focus on creative works. Being a fully integrated agency, we’re able to offer anything from web development to video production, branding to marketing, and it’s all in house.<\/p>\n

How does your website enhance, support, and drive forward your business’s goals?<\/em><\/p>\n

Our website is a showcase of our latest work and our talent as a whole. Rather than endless paragraphs of text, we let large imagery, video, and our existing work do the talking for us!<\/p>\n

What would you say the website’s personality is and what benefits does this bring?<\/em><\/p>\n

Getting to the basics of communication is our key strategy. And by using a sharp modern aesthetic with ‘early man’ themes, we fuse these ideas into a clean and striking layout.<\/p>\n

It’s important that our branding is not overly fussy, as we don’t want to take anything away from the client work that we’re showcasing.<\/p>\n

By keeping our own style simple, it really lets our work shine.<\/p>\n

When you designed the website, did you design with the customer in mind, or did you have a fixed idea on how you wanted to portray the brand?<\/em><\/p>\n

As this is for our own use, we had a perfect understanding of our needs and an established brand identity to develop from.<\/p>\n

What is your favourite thing about the website?<\/em><\/p>\n

We knew from the beginning that we wanted our work to be the main focus of the site. With this in mind, we created an incredibly robust back-end portfolio system, so when we add in new projects, we’re able to do it efficiently and with great flexibility.<\/p>\n

And most importantly, it’s very user friendly, so anyone in the agency is able to put up beautiful projects even if web design is not their speciality.<\/p>\n

What do you think makes the website different from the competition?<\/em><\/p>\n

Our website was built from scratch, giving it a really good SEO foundation, as well as running on PHP 7 for the extra speed. It’s also visually impressive thanks to the work we’ve produced for our clients.<\/p>\n

Do you have any future plans for the website?<\/em><\/p>\n

As our agency expands, so will our website. Next on the agenda is adding a hiring section. We’ll also be constantly updating the site with new client work as well as articles from both ourselves and guest writers.<\/p>\n

And how has it been being a Heart Internet customer?<\/em><\/p>\n

Heart Internet is great – we love using a UK-based company for our hosting as the customer support is always really fast!<\/p>\n
