We’re happy to announce the Website of the Month winner for July 2018 – Postcodes4u<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Postcodes4u delivers a postcode lookup service for addresses on websites, and its own site is focused entirely on functionality.<\/p>\n

The site puts the customer first, making certain they have what they need to get their tasks done, with a beautifully minimalist design pushing the UX to the front. Usability is also the key for their mobile experience, with a fantastic interface guiding users with ease.<\/p>\n

We sat down with Karen Anfield, one of the owners of 3X Software<\/a>, creators of Postcodes4u, for a chat about their website.<\/p>\n

What is Postcodes4u and what does it do?<\/em><\/p>\n

Postcodes4u provides an address lookup from postcode service for websites. We have been a Royal Mail Postcode Address File (PAF) reseller for over 20 years, and we thought that we could add even more value for customers by providing this service online.<\/p>\n

3X Software has been developing software for over 30 years, focusing on retail, e-commerce, web development, and IBM i Midrange applications.<\/p>\n

How does the website enhance, support, and drive forward the company’s goals?<\/em><\/p>\n

It enables websites to capture full and correct addresses by having the user enter in a postcode and then selecting from a list of Royal Mail PAF-verified addresses.<\/p>\n

This means less keying-in time for the customer, as well as reduction in delivery costs for mails or parcels, as the delivery company is using an accurate address.<\/p>\n

What would you say the website’s personality is?<\/em><\/p>\n

We offer a friendly service, where the customer can speak directly to a staff member if they need any assistance.<\/p>\n

When you were designing the website, did you design with the customer in mind, or did you have a fixed idea on how you wanted to portray the brand?<\/em><\/p>\n

The design is based around the customer experience, and we tried to keep it simple and easy to use.<\/p>\n

What’s your favourite thing about the website?<\/em><\/p>\n

Its simplicity.<\/p>\n

What do you think makes the website different from the competition?<\/em><\/p>\n

We offer telephone support from technicians – not a call centre – and are prices are very competitive. If we get requests for a new type of interface or API, we are happy to develop it where we can, for no extra charge.<\/p>\n

Do you have any future plans for the site?<\/em><\/p>\n

We’re continually improving our site and service. We value all of our customer feedback, and take on board customer requests. As part of this, we’re looking to roll out a monthly subscription service later this year as an alternative to our current credit packs.<\/p>\n

And how has your experience been as a Heart Internet customer?<\/em><\/p>\n

it’s had its ups and downs over the years, but it seems to be a steady and reliable service as of late.<\/p>\n
