We rolled out a 100Gbps data centre fabric, strengthened DDoS and bot protection, improved shared hosting stability and refreshed core elements of the hosting stack, from Apache and HTTP versions through to PHP performance.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]The results show up in the numbers. In a 30-minute load test simulating 1,000 concurrent users on our WordPress platform, the infrastructure served 602,000 requests with just two failures, a 99.9997% success rate. Peak load reached 563 requests per second, with an average response time of 287ms and a 95th percentile page response time of 385ms. To put it simply, sites load fast and stay up under pressure.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]Our VPS hardware received the same attention. New hosts run on dual 84-core AMD EPYC processors with 1.5TB of DDR5 RAM per node, and the improvement over the previous generation is dramatic. Sequential request handling is around 2.4 times faster while using roughly a third of the CPU, and under stress testing response times improved around fourfold, cutting average load time from 29.03s to 13.73s. Launched in March, it now protects customer websites at scale, processing more than 10.9 million events and blocking over 965,000 attacks. That includes more than 368,000 critical events and 447,000 high-severity events intercepted before they could reach customer environments, with around 1.5 million unique attackers identified along the way.<\/p>\n

Just as important is how it was built. CAPTCHA-protected logins, wider two-factor authentication availability and automated bot protection were all designed to strengthen the platform without forcing customers to manage extra complexity.
