How can I protect my email accounts from viruses?

We offer a comprehensive email anti-virus package as an add-on to our services.  With our Email Virus Scanning, all emails sent to your domain name are checked before they come into your inbox, and our software updates every hour so that it knows about the latest viruses on the Internet. 

You can order our Email Virus Scanning for your domain through your Heart Internet Customer Area by clicking on ‘Order Add-Ons’ and selecting ‘Email Virus Scanning’.

However, this protection does not extend to any other email accounts you may have, nor does it extend to viruses and other malware you may accidentally download from the Internet.

Because of this, we always recommend that you protect your computers with up-to-date anti-virus software, regularly update the operating system of the computers, and also run an Internet firewall package on your systems.  While we are able to scan and protect your emails hosted with Heart Internet, we cannot protect you from the Internet in general.
