If I’ve bought my domain from another registrar, how can I host my website with you?

If you are unable to or do not want to transfer your domain name into Heart Internet, you can point your domain name to our Web Hosting packages.

If you are a Reseller

1. Set up a domain reference

• Go to Heart Customer Area
• Scroll down to the 'Manage Products' section
• Click on 'Manage Domain Names'
• Click on 'View' next to 'Web Hosting Domain References'
• Under the 'Add a domain reference' section you will find a field where you can introduce your domain
• Once you've added you're domain in the field, click on 'Add Reference'

2. Set up a hosting package:

• Go to Heart Customer Area
• Click on Reseller Control Centre
• Click on 'Add Hosting Accounts'
• Select the domain from the drop-down menu
• Select the type of package from the drop-down menu
• Click on 'Activate Hosting'

3. Point the domain to your Reseller Hosting package

• Go to your Heart Customer Area
• Under the 'Manage Products' section, click on 'Manage Domain Names'
• Click on 'View' next to 'List your Domains'
• Look for your domain in the table and click on 'Manage'
• Click on 'DNS Management'
• Click on 'Reset DNS' in the 'Configuration Wizards and Tools'
• A window with all the default DNS records will appear and you can add them to your DNS zone

If you want to buy a new hosting package:

1. Buying a new hosting package

• In the Heart Internet Customer Area, click on Order Web Hosting
• Select and purchase the package you require
• Click on 'Manage cPanel Hosting 2026'
• Assign the domain reference by clicking on the pen icon on the left hand side
• Select the domain from the drop-down and click 'confirm'

2. Point the domain to the cPanel package you've just purchased

• Go to Heart Customer area
• Click on 'Manage cPanel Hosting 2026'
• Copy the IP of your hosting package from the IP column
• Point your domain to that IP.

Final Step: Change the nameservers (Optional)

If you wish to manage the DNS zone from your Heart account, you will need to contact your registrar and change the nameservers of your domain to:

ns1.mainnameserver.com
ns2.mainnameserver.com

Please note that you will need to add all the DNS records in the previous DNS zone to our DNS zone in order to keep everything functional. Furthermore, nameserver changes can take between 24 to 48 hours for a full propagation.
