How do I set up Nginx on my server using Plesk?
Nginx is a high-performance HTTP server, reverse proxy, and IMAP/POP3 proxy server.
It is assumed that you are using Plesk as a Service Provider. If you are using Plesk as a Power User, switch to Service Provider:
- Go to the 'Server' tab
- Go to 'Interface Management'
- Go to 'Panel Appearance'
- Click 'Service Provider'
- Click 'OK'
- You will now be in Service Provider mode
To install Nginx on your server:
- Click 'Tools & Settings' under 'Server Management' in the left-hand menu
- Click on 'Updates and Upgrades' in the 'Panel' section
- If you get an SSL warning from your browser, add an exception for it and continue
- Click 'Add Components'
- Tick the box next to 'Nginx Reverse Proxy Support'
- Click 'Continue'
- Once Nginx has been installed, click on 'Tools & Settings'
- Click 'Services Management' under 'Server Management'
- Click on the 'Play' icon to start Nginx
