Last Friday we baked some cupcakes to help raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Our delicious cakes were part of a bake sale at Derby Royal Infirmary, where staff and patients were able to come and donate to the cause.
The bake sale was a huge success, perhaps measured by the fact that we ran out of cakes to sell before lunchtime! You could say they sold like hot cakes, but they were actually room temperature (sorry).
The Derby Telegraph also covered the Breakthrough Breast Cancer bake sale at the hospital, which was part of the charity’s Great Pink Bake Off project, and wrote an article about it detailing some of the background behind the organisation of the event.
If you would like to help Breakthrough Breast Cancer, you can donate via their website and help them continue their research into beating breast cancer.
Here are some of our pictures from the day. For more, go to our Flickr page.
