This is very good 🙂 Great Stuff HI. Will this server still be on a limited 10mbit or are you guys now offering 100mbit per server?
If the servers are still in 10mbit, have you guys considered making 100mbit available for servers at some point? Some times (or well most times) 10mbit isnt enough.
David,
The network connection speed is 10Mbps which is like having your own leased line.
Matt
David,
On my first read, I thought you meant 10mb ethernet connection, good thing I read it wrong.
10Mbps 1:1 internet connection is incredibly fast and as stated by Matt it’s like having your own leased line.
In order for any normal reseller to max that speed out, you must be doing some serious work.
At my office, we have around 50 users all on the internet at all times, using hosted Citrix and additionally, myself constantly downloading on an 8Mbps 1:1 line and we have no issues at all.
You should be fine 🙂
Thanks,
G.
Hello Gabi,
10MBit isnt enough, specially for the type of customers I have, most of them deal with high res images, it also depends on the size of the company and how intense they use the internet.
But usually if you are dealing with images of 1GB+ in size.
For these type of clients I need allocate 20mbit of a 100mbit connection.
But when it comes to web hosting lines, its common these days to supply 100mbit for customers, or at least a 10mbit burstable to 100mbit.
Imagine also a traffic based website that gets DDOSed on a 10mbit, it will be extremely easy to take down.
But again 10mbit is enough for some websites.
The above is just what I have to deal with and have to think about what the problems could be if a slow line is implemented.
