Almost a year ago we introduced our brand new Power Up cards.
In addition to providing 165 practical tips across a range of web subjects and doubling up as a game, there are also many more uses for the cards. Here are three of our favourites, designed to help you generate ideas, improve your projects, and proactively build up skills:
Power up your ideas
1. Remove the following sets from the pack: green Hosting cards, navy Metrics, brown Tools, grey Business, orange Search and any Wildcards.
2. Shuffle the remaining, and deal out 5 pairs.
3. Pick a pair and create a blog post (or another form of content – you pick!) based around that theme.
This also works for groups – either all write the same post from different perspectives, or each pick a different pair. This can easily be applied to any form of content (infographics, guides, social media imagery, etc.).
Power up your projects
1. Shuffle the pack and deal out 4 single cards.
2. Write a list of how you can improve your website, service, business or project based around the theme of your cards (individually, in pairs, or a set).
Power up your knowledge
1. Pick out the 3 sets of cards that represent your weakest areas.
2. Shuffle, then draw a card every day/week, and investigate that area in more depth.
