We have had a number of requests from reseller hosting customers asking for a way to help make sure their customers don’t go over their mail box quota. Previously you would have to check this for them or hope they do it themselves. Now you can set up an automatic email that is sent to your customers once they reach 90% of their mail box limit.

To access this new feature log in to your RCC and in ‘Preferences’ you will see a new icon called ‘Mail box over quota emails’.

From here you can write your email (in plain text or HTML).

If you would like to set this up now, click here to log in to your Reseller Control Centre.

Does it also email the reseller? Cause this would be quite useful too.

    Hi,

This is an excellent feature, will be good.

Had an instance were a direct client of yours had reached her limit, she didn’t know. This would have saved a few problems and will do in the future.

Also seen that you have turned on the “notify me on follow up comments via e-mail” for the blogs, excellent!! Just shows that you do listen to the requests made.

Handy, thanks – I had resorted to using IMAPsize, a handy little bit of Windows freeware, and advising clients of the Thunderbird add-on DisplayQuota, both of which make noticing mail quotas easier. But much nicer to have something built in.

    David,

It currently alerts the customer about their mail box, resellers can continue to run this report https://customer.heartinternet.uk/manage/mailbox-sizes-list.cgi

Great – nice feature to have this as I’ve had clients that have not been deleting old emails from the servers and didn’t know they were getting close to their limits.

    Thanks for introducing this feature.

Just wanted to say, “I agree”, this is a very useful little feature. Much appreciated. I too have had instance where a client has filled their mailbox in the past and contacted me with email issues. Hopefully this will prevent the most obvious cause of failure.

    Cheers,

    David
