If you use HostPay to sell your hosting services and manage your customers, you’ll be pleased to know we have recently added some great new features to help you sell more. To use these new features on an existing HostPay installation, you will need to edit selected files. For instructions on how to do this go to your HostPay control panel and scroll to the “HostPay News Feed”.
Plesk on Ubuntu & Windows VPS
You can now offer the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS operating system, and Plesk with Windows to your VPS customers.
Discount at renewal codes
You can now offer your customers discount codes that they can use at renewal. If your customer chooses to renew a service and a valid renewal discount code exists they will be redirected to the basket to enter the code before proceeding to the checkout.
Ahead of time domain renewals
Your customers can now renew domains before they are due for renewal. This will only be available for domains registered via Heart Internet. They can set this up to do this from “Manage Domain Names” in their control panel.
Referral sources
You can now configure an extra referral source to offer to your customers during registration.
If you configure a non-blank value, your customers will be offered that value in the ‘Where did you hear about us?’ field on the register page. When a customer chooses the new value they will be allowed to specify the referral source.
To keep up to date with our new feature launches we would advise you subscribe to the RSS feed. We do a lot.
What is HostPay?

All good, But a Hostpay related “domain search” widget that could embed into any design would be an excellent feature, hopefully this will become available soon.
David,
Have you suggested this using the feedback form in your Reseller Control Centre?
Matt
I have suggested this “domain search” widget feature a few times through the feedback system, I feel this feature would generate more domain sales, which would then generate more “product” sales.
Hi Matthew,
I don’t know whether this is in your department but I thought I’d mention it anyhow.
I’ve been with HeartInternet 4 yrs now as a reseller but find the yearly price hikes a bit too much to take.
My reseller pro account is due for renewal in 5 days time. To save a little money I have always paid by direct debit on the annual plan (up front).
Just looking at my renwal fee for the coming year and it’s increased yet again by a staggering £60 (£72 with V A T).
How does HeartInternet justify those type of price increases almost year in year out?
Do you provide any discount codes to your loyal customers at all?
I’ve never received any to date. Always paid full whack, and up front.
If I’m to stay with HeartInternet this coming year I need some way to claw back the increased price for my coming year’s reseller pro hosting account.
I’m not prepared to pay the current asking price. It’s just not affordable to me.
I am prepared to move over to another web hosting company if HeartInternet are not willing to give me a discount as a loyal paying customer.
Yours sincerely,
Alan Howells
Hi Alan,
I can see you have contacted our support team and they are working with you. However, to address your question about our price increases for the Reseller Pro account, since our launch in 2004 we have only increased the price of our Reseller Pro package twice, and each time by only £5 per month. During these 10 years every cost to us (as it has every other business in the UK) has gone up with inflation and supplier costs. We have tried to absorb these rising costs as much as possible and when we have had to increase our prices we have kept it as low as possible.
In terms of our product, keep in mind we are only company actively and consistently developing our reseller hosting plan to the extent we do. In the past four years we have launched over 100 new features:
• https://www.heartinternet.uk/blog/the-new-products-and-features-we-launched-in-2012/
• https://www.heartinternet.uk/blog/the-new-features-and-products-we-have-launched-in-the-first-half-of-2011/
• https://www.heartinternet.uk/blog/the-new-reseller-hosting-products-features-added-in-2010/
And that doesn’t cover what we’ve done in 2013 (including a completely brand new cloud hosting platform). We also don’t charge extra for basic features such as a control panel for your customers (e.g. Fasthosts charge you £5 per customer per month, you can compare us here: https://www.heartinternet.uk/reseller-hosting/compare-reseller-hosting.)
I hope you can work out a successful resolution with the support team, however I believe our Reseller Pro account is great value for money, and we absolutely have the best reseller hosting product around (and the support team too).
Matt
