If you are a Reseller Pro customer, using HostPay you can now let visitors create a custom VPS and buy it directly through your website. Using ready made sliders, they can choose how much RAM and HDD they want, as well as how many vCPU and backup space. The technology and interface uses exactly the same principles as our own VPS.

Selling customisable VPS

To get started, go to “VPS products” within HostPay and tick the box to confirm you want to start selling VPS. You will see we have already set up 3 pre-built VPS for you to sell, or you can create your own as well/ instead.

To set up the customisation options for your customers, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Advanced VPS Products. Tick the “For sale” box and state how much you want to charge for the ‘Base product’ (1 CPU Core, 1GB RAM, 50 GB HDD), and then how much it costs for a customer to add the extra vCPU, RAM, HDD etc. Click “Update all advanced products” to save your changes.

You will see a ‘Create a Custom Server’ link has appeared on the VPS order page (go to the “News Feed” section of HostPay or go to the RSS feed here to see a full list of the affected files).

Additionally your existing customers can now upgrade their VPS, changing the number of CPUs, amount of RAM, amount of HDD. They will be able to do this from the Manage VPS page, using the ‘Modify Options’ button. When they have chosen their new settings, items will be put into their basket for them to checkout.
