Several years ago we decided that our teams would benefit from short get-togethers on a range of subjects. This became a weekly tradition, with each person taking it in turn to create a talk and some slides on whatever web topic they liked. As well as opening up the floor for discussion and helping fast-track new team members, we also ended up with some great content. So we’ve given it a polish and decided to pass it on to you via our ‘Tips in Ten’ series: ten slides, ten minutes, plenty of tips.
This set of slides is focused around crafting powerful headlines and titles for your content, drawing on best practice – and worst practice! – examples, along with the theory behind headlines, the different techniques behind titles, and golden rules for improving them. This talk was originally by one of our marketing executives, Alex, whose degree in journalism inspired him to transfer old-school print techniques to the digital space.
