Despite this it could be argued most of the large blogs, forums, showcases etc. are based in the USA and a lot of the discussion points are coming from there too. Much smaller but no less perfectly formed web design blog. A good mixture of resources, opinion and interviews.

A fast growing UK web design blog with fresh content posted almost daily.
Forums…
Very big, but also very friendly and open forum with a supportive ethos amongst the users.
Very active forum with some great information and people on hand to give you some peer to peer help when you need it.
Smaller than the previous two forums but no less useful or helpful.
Galleries…
Updated daily with fresh designs.
Gallery of over 5,500 bloomin’ good web designs.
Very stylish gallery with more quality control than you usually see from showcase sites.
Tutorial sites…
Relatively new on the scene but churning out high quality step by step guides every week.
A round up of tutorials from other websites, essentially acting like a quality feed.
An absolute monster of a website full of code ready for you to use on your website.
Resources…
Free vector patterns for you to use on your projects.
Free open source web templates for you to download, some great some not. Worth going through cherry picking the best of the bunch.
A mixture of round ups and links to sites offering free resources to download such as templates and icons.
Pretty much as the name suggests, a massive list of web design related websites.
