Thanks for your comment. If an existing customer wants to buy a new VPS this offer will allow them to get it at 30% off but this does not cover VPS renewals.

Agree with Matt here. I already have a VPS. I understand the concept of running a promo to encourage new custom but it does alienate your existing customers and leave a bitter taste in our mouths.

I’ve only just seen this offer and I currently have a 3 multi site hosting account but one of our sites is experiencing too slow a connection at the users end with this one website, so thinking of moving to the VPS through this offer.
Firstly, would it be a hard transfer of the 3 live sites I have on my current shared hosting multi site?
Secondly, it mentions “Host unlimited websites & domains” does this mean we could in effect for select friends, family or associates sell hosting and host them on our VPS server?
Lastly, do you have a resource of what can and cannot be done within the terms of a VPS server account?

1- Every site is different so it’s difficult to answer this definitively; if you contact sales, they will be able to take a look at your site and give you an informed response
2- Yes, you can do this
3- You can do absolutely anything you like with a VPS provided it is legal

The main differences between shared hosting multi-site servers and VPS packages are that there are much lower contention rates on a VPS, which means that there are a lot less customers on each server and with a VPS you’re free to do what you want provided it is legal, whereas there are certain restrictions with shared hosting servers. VPS also have root access, meaning you can install whatever you want whereas this is not available with shared hosting servers.
