A lot has been changing at Heart Internet, with major improvements across our platform, products, security, infrastructure and support.

We’ve completed a major transition to fully independent operations, launched new hosting platforms, strengthened security, invested in infrastructure, expanded support and started rolling out improvements across the Customer Area.

For resellers, this work matters. Whether you’re managing a small number of client sites or supporting a larger customer base, you need a platform that is reliable, secure, easier to manage and backed by a team that understands how important your services are.

Here’s a closer look at some of the improvements we’ve made, and how they support resellers.

1. We’re now independent and in control of our own platform

Heart Internet has completed a major transition to fully independent operations. That means we’re now running on our own platforms, with our own services and dedicated teams, rather than relying on legacy systems and external platforms.

For resellers, this is an important step forward. It gives us more control over the tools, services and improvements we deliver, and means we can move faster on the changes that matter most to customers.

It also gives us a stronger foundation for the future. Now that we own and control more of the platform, we can continue improving the reseller experience with greater focus, agility and long-term investment.

2. We’ve introduced more direct support for resellers

We’ve introduced a new Account Management team to give resellers more direct access to advice, guidance and support.

This creates a clearer route for resellers who want to talk through their account, ask questions, discuss client needs or better understand upcoming platform changes. For customers managing multiple websites or services, having a more direct conversation can make a real difference.

We’ve also been trialling callback options and live screen share support, giving customers more ways to get practical help when they need it. This is all part of our ongoing work to make support more accessible, responsive and useful.

3. We’re actively listening to reseller feedback

We know reseller hosting has changed, and we want to make sure our reseller experience reflects how customers actually use their accounts today.

That’s why we’ve invited resellers to share feedback with us directly, including how they use their account, where their business is heading and what they want most from Heart Internet.

This feedback is helping shape what comes next. Rather than making assumptions, we want to understand what resellers need from the platform, the programme and our support teams, so we can keep improving in the right areas.

4. We’ve expanded support capacity and availability

We’ve significantly increased support resource, expanded weekday support hours and trialled weekend support.

For resellers, this is especially important. When your own customers need answers, delays can create pressure. A stronger support operation behind the scenes gives you more confidence that help is available when you need it.

This work is part of a broader investment in support, including additional channels, more guidance and better ways to help customers resolve issues quickly.

5. We’ve strengthened account and platform security

Security has been a major focus across the platform.

Two-Factor Authentication is now available, adding an important extra layer of protection for Heart Internet accounts. This is particularly valuable for resellers, who may be managing multiple services, websites and customer accounts.

We’ve also strengthened platform-level security through improvements such as CAPTCHA-protected logins, improved access controls, DDoS and bot mitigation, and continued monitoring of emerging vulnerabilities.

For resellers, the benefit is simple: stronger protection across the platform, helping reduce risk for the services you manage.

6. We’ve rolled out a new Web Application Firewall

Online attacks are becoming more common, more sophisticated and harder to predict. Public-facing websites are targeted constantly by bots, scanners and automated threats, often without the site owner ever knowing it is happening.

That’s why we’ve rolled out a new Web Application Firewall, giving customer websites an extra layer of protection against common attacks, suspicious requests and abusive traffic.

The WAF helps filter traffic earlier, before it reaches customer websites, reducing the risk of harmful requests getting through and supporting a more stable platform overall. It has already blocked over 965,000 attack events.

For resellers, this is a practical improvement you can confidently explain to clients: stronger protection is being built into the platform, with no extra setup or ongoing management needed from them.

7. We’ve launched new WordPress tools for resellers, agencies and multi-site management

Our new Managed WordPress platform is now live, giving customers and resellers a more modern way to build, launch and manage WordPress websites.

It includes the features you’d expect from a modern Managed WordPress service, including fast storage, automatic updates, daily backups, staging environments, malware scanning and built-in security tools.

It also includes an AI Website Builder powered by Extendify, helping turn a short brief into a first draft of a website in minutes. It can generate layouts, starter content and page sections, giving you a strong foundation to refine, personalise and publish.

Behind the scenes, the platform has been built for speed, stability and simpler site management. In recent load testing, our WordPress platform served 602,000 requests over 30 minutes with just two failures, delivering a 99.9997% success rate. It also handled 563 requests per second at peak load, with a 287ms average response time.

For resellers managing multiple WordPress websites, we’ve also introduced WP Squared, a centralised dashboard that makes it easier to access, update and manage multiple WordPress sites from one place.

Whether you’re building a single client site or managing a wider portfolio, these tools are designed to reduce repetitive admin, speed up project delivery and make WordPress management simpler.

8. We’ve launched a new cPanel Web Hosting platform

Our new Web Hosting platform is live, giving customers fast, secure cPanel hosting on reliable UK infrastructure.

It has been designed to make everyday website management easier. From one clean interface, customers can manage files, databases, email, domains, SSLs, PHP versions, app installs, backups and more, with Single Sign-On from the Heart Internet account.

The platform is built for speed and reliability, with NVMe U.3 storage, HTTP/2 support, proactive monitoring and an optimised hosting stack for consistently quick performance. Every plan also includes backups, free SSL certificates, bundled email, proactive security, firewall protection and 2FA control panel protection.

For resellers, cPanel is widely recognised and familiar, making it easier to manage hosting services and support clients who already understand the cPanel environment.

9. We’ve launched new Agency plans

We’ve introduced Agency plans across Managed WordPress and Web Hosting, designed for customers managing larger workloads or multiple client websites.

These plans are particularly relevant for resellers, freelancers and agencies who need more capacity, more flexibility and a hosting setup that better reflects how they work.

It also gives resellers more options when choosing the right environment for different client projects, whether that means a managed WordPress setup, a flexible cPanel hosting plan or a larger package for managing multiple sites.

10. We’ve added reseller discounts on new hosting products

Resellers can also benefit from discounts on our newer hosting products, helping make it easier to use these services across client projects.

This includes a 15% discount on Managed WordPress and up to 15% discount on cPanel Web Hosting.

That gives resellers a stronger commercial reason to explore the new platforms, whether you’re building WordPress sites, managing client hosting or looking for a more modern hosting setup for future projects.

11. We’ve rebuilt the foundations for a better Customer Area

We’ve been rebuilding key parts of the Customer Area infrastructure in React.

The mobile-friendly pages and UI improvements you’re starting to see are the visible tip of that work. The real value is the foundation it gives us to keep delivering improvements more quickly and consistently.

For resellers, the Customer Area plays an important role in managing services, supporting customers and keeping day-to-day tasks running smoothly. By modernising the foundations properly, we can continue improving the experience with cleaner page designs, smoother journeys, better tools and more consistent functionality.

Some updated pages have already started rolling out, with more to follow.

12. We’ve improved how we communicate service updates

We’ve also improved our status page, giving customers a clearer place to check service updates, platform notices and maintenance information.

For resellers, this is particularly useful. When you’re managing services for your own customers, clear and accessible status information can help you stay informed, respond more quickly and understand whether an issue is isolated or platform-wide.

We’ll continue using our status page to share relevant platform updates, planned maintenance information and service notices.

13. We’ve invested in stronger infrastructure and performance

We’ve made significant infrastructure improvements across the platform, all designed to make Heart Internet faster, more stable and better equipped for modern hosting needs.

This includes a 100Gbps data centre fabric for lower latency and more capacity, improved load balancing, updated hosting stack components, PHP 8.4 availability and higher default PHP memory limits.

For resellers, these upgrades matter because performance and reliability directly affect the client experience. Faster, more stable infrastructure helps you offer a stronger service to your own customers.

14. We’ve improved VPS performance and capacity

We’re continuing to invest in our VPS platform, including migrations to new host hardware that delivers faster response times, stronger performance under load and more headroom for demanding workloads.

In testing, the new hosts delivered around 2.4x faster average response times for sequential requests, while using around one third of the CPU compared with the previous hosts.

Under stress testing, they delivered around 4x faster average response times and handled more than 7,500 requests in 14 minutes, compared with just over 2,000 requests on the previous hosts.

For resellers with clients running busier websites, applications or more demanding environments, this provides a stronger foundation for traffic spikes, higher request volumes and future growth.

15. We’ve improved email infrastructure and deliverability

We’ve partnered with Soverin to improve email deliverability, reduce spam filtering issues and help customers’ messages reach inboxes more consistently.

That is especially useful for resellers because email issues are often highly visible to clients. Stronger email infrastructure helps reduce friction, improve reliability and support a better experience for end users.

It also gives us a stronger foundation for future email improvements, including enhanced security features.

16. We’ve made sustainability a stronger part of the platform

Heart Internet hosting is now 100% powered by renewable energy, with Green Web Foundation certification also achieved.

For resellers, this is a positive message you can pass on to your own customers. It gives you another way to demonstrate value, especially when working with clients who care about sustainability and responsible digital services.

It is also part of our wider commitment to building a stronger, more modern Heart Internet, one that supports customers today while continuing to invest in the future.

Thank you

We know how important your customers, websites, domains, email and hosting services are to you, and we do not take that responsibility lightly.

The updates above are part of our ongoing work to improve the platform, strengthen security and give resellers a better experience with Heart Internet.

There is more to come, and we’ll continue keeping you updated as new improvements roll out.
