We’re excited to announce that Heart Internet has been voted Best Web Host for the second year running!

The PC Pro Excellence Awards are the largest independent technology awards, with the winners chosen by over 10,000 people across the UK. We’re incredibly proud to have picked up our second Best Web Host prize at the ceremony in London earlier this month, standing alongside winners such as Apple and Google for our contributions to the technology industry.

This year we’ve added dozens of new features and improved on existing assets and platforms in our commitment to driving the hosting industry forward. We’ve moved to a greener data centre, patched and secured servers against hundreds of new industry vulnerabilities including Heartbleed and Shellshock, upgraded Hosted Exchange mailboxes to 30GB, launched a free responsive framework, improved snapshot backups for Resellers’ customers, and made dozens of new domain name extensions available. Further afield we’ve sponsored and supported a huge range of fantastic UK web events and conferences, including Smashing Conf, Shropgeek (R)evolution and Second Wednesday.

Additionally, we’ve celebrated our tenth birthday, moved to .uk and a secure https:// connection, and held a conference for Resellers at Google HQ. Our teams have also made great headway on a series of exciting new projects scheduled for launch next year, including a brand new hosting product and the latest version of HostPay.

2014 has had plenty of challenges, but every single staff member remains committed to doing the best job possible.
