Domain Locking for .UK Domanis (.co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, .ltd.uk, .plc.uk, .net.uk, .sch.uk, .uk)

As of Monday 12th July, all .UK domains (.co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, .ltd.uk, .plc.uk, .net.uk, .sch.uk, .uk) will support domain locking, similar to the feature seen in other common TLD's.

When locked, a domain name cannot be updated, transferred, or deleted. In order to update your domain, or transfer it to a new registrar, it will need to be unlocked.

To do this:

  1. Log into your Heart Internet Customer Area
  2. Select Manage Domain Names
  3. Select your domain from the Manage Domain Parking dropdown, and select Manage Now
  4. Select Domain Locking
  5. Unlock your domain

You should remember to re-lock your domain once an update is applied.
