How do I change the contact details on my domain?

You can change the contact details on your domain through the Domain Control Panel.  You can either use a single contact for all roles, or use different contacts for each role.

The roles attached with the domain name are:

  • Owner
  • Technical Contact
  • Administrative Contact
  • Billing Contact

To change the contact details:

  1. Log into your Domain Control Panel
  2. Click ‘Change Contacts’
  3. Enter in the single contact you want to use for all roles, or click the link for specifying different contacts for each role
  4. Click ‘Update’
  5. The contact details will be changed

If you want to change the owner of a .uk domain, you will need to make a request directly to Nominet.

To change the owner of a .uk domain:

  1. Go to www.nominet.org.uk
  2. Go to ‘UK Domain names’
  3. Go to ‘Manage your Domain’
  4. Go to ‘Change details’
  5. Create a Nominet account, then change your details as needed
