How can I change my mailbox password?

Note: If your mailbox is connected to a mail client, or is used to send mail from a website, you will need to update your mail client or sendmail script once the password has been updated.

It is recommended to change your mailbox password every six months to ensure mailbox security.

To change your mailbox password through eXtend Control Panel:

1. Log into your eXtend Control Panel
2. Click on ‘Mail Boxes’
3. Scroll down to Modify Mail Boxes
4. In the row with the mailbox you want to edit, click on the blank Password field
5. Type in a new password – make certain that it is over 6 characters long and contains at least 1 number or other non-letter character
6. Click ‘Modify’
7. Your mailbox password will be changed

To change your mailbox password through outitgoes.com:

1. Go to outitgoes.com
2. Click ‘Change Password?’
3. Enter in the email address of the mailbox
4. Enter in the current password
5. Enter in the new password – make certain that it is over 6 characters long and contains at least 1 number or other non-letter character
6. Repeat the password
7. Click ‘Change!’
8. Your mailbox password will be changed

 Changing the mailbox password as a reseller:

The best practice would be to have the email passwords updated. Being created under a reseller, the process for changing the password is different, but here are the steps:

To reset the password for the mailboxes, you will first have to reset the password for the hosting package associated with the domain name if you do not have it.

To reset the password for this hosting package, kindly navigate to the page below and please log in to the package as "Superuser":

Or access the Reseller Control Center -> Manage Hosting Accounts -> choose the domain name and login as the ‘Superuser’

Once logged in, please insert a new password under the "Control Panel Password" field, and please save it.

Once completed, please log in to the hosting package using the domain name as the username and the new password through the portal below, and please click on "Mail Boxes".

Then click on Mailboxes and add your new password next to the email you want to change the password for, in the empty box under the Change password column, click on the Modify button to save it.

Please note: After changing the password for the email you need to allow it ~5 minutes to update in the system so you will be able to access it on webmail through outitgoes.com.
