How can I install new Apache or PHP components on my cPanel-running server?

Article Number: 42 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Fri, May 1, 2015 at 11:48 AM

cPanel and WHM includes a program named EasyApache, which lets you change the version of PHP or Apache, install new modules, or rebuild if the current configuration is broken.

EasyApache can be accessed from WHM in the Software Section.  Click ‘Apache Update’ to access it.

Once in EasyApache, click through the set-up pages, choosing the options you want to use, then click ‘Save and Build’.

It will take approximately 15 minutes to rebuild Apache and PHP, but when it is completed, you should have all the components and modules you’ve requested.
