Is there an easy way to change the permissions of my scripts?

Because of security reasons, we do not allow scripts to run under the 777 permission. Executable scripts should run under 711 or 755 and PHP scripts should run under 644.

To check the permissions of scripts you had under 777:

1. Log into your eXtend Control Panel
2. Click ‘Check Site Permissions’
3. Click the link that asks if you want to perform a scan
4. Wait as the scan processes
5. Any files with potentially unsafe permissions are listed with a drop-down
6. Select the correct permissions from the drop-down for each file
7. Click ‘Change’
8. The files will now have the correct permissions for  the site
