Why isn’t there a one-click installer for Magento e-commerce software?

Unfortunately, we have found that Magento is a very resource-hungry application.  On a shared hosting account, it can have an impact on the server’s performance, thereby affecting all the websites on the server.

Because of this, we do not have a one-click installer for Magento on shared hosting. We also ask that customers on a shared hosting account do not install Magento themselves.

If you would like to install Magento onto your account, consider upgrading to a Premium Hosting account, a VPS, a Hybrid Server, or a Dedicated Server.  This avoids the risk of causing issues to other users, while also giving you the power you need to get the most out of the software.
